This week we strap on some extra time rockets and head back to 1957 to have a look around and then watch its highest-grossing movie: The Bridge on the River Kwai with guest comedian Clare Belford. We go over trying to go to high school in Arkansas and Russian space tricks before going over maybe the best-made movie we've seen yet: The Bridge on the River Kwai.
This week we took a time-fireplace back to 2007 to have a look around and watch it's second highest-grossing movie (for #1, see episode 083) Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix with resident Harry Potter consultant and comedian Nile Séguin. We go over a bummer year, delight over Scooter Libby's name and then watch a Wizard movie where death death death. Death. (It was great)
This week we invite Blayne Smith back to take another joyride in the time machine to watch another old-timey serial remake: The Shadow from 1994 with Alec Baldwin! We go over the radio show history and the insane remake that features a number of mind control suicides and a villain who travels by mailing himself.
This week we pushed the time machine past all reasonable limits and made two stops, one in 2006 to look around and have a look at it's highest grossing movie Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. We talk the poo-salad of a year that is 2006 and try to talk about the movie... but felt for some awful, self-destructive reason that we should hop to 2007 to see Pirates of the Caribbean: at World's End. We did. We do not know why. It hurt us, but it made us strong? With Special guest comedian and fine fella Alex Sparling!
This week we penguin oiled up the Time valves and flew back to 1961 to have a look around and watch its highest-grossing movie: One Hundred and One Dalmatians with guest comedian Eric Andrews. We go over the first human in space, brave busrides, whoopsie nukes and on purpose enormous nukes, then go over the Disney's classic toned-down Taken remake with dogs.
